The North Edmonton Swim Club, NESC (pronounced Nessie) hosted a swim meet in Barrhead on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the new Barrhead Regional Aquatics Centre in Barrhead, AB.

The facility is brand new and was very welcoming to Region B swimmers, the mayor even came to welcome everyone to Barrhead. This was the first meet hosted in the new pool.

The swimmers enjoyed setting up camp in the arena, the ice was out for the summer, so they had plenty of room to stretch out and hang out for the day.

Our team had 33 swimmers in attendance. Returning swimmers had 49 personal bests and our swimmers competed in 11 new events!
